Venture into an alternate world with this petite one of a kind, exceptional handcrafted Sevan Bicakci ring. With wonderfully executed detail, a swimming starfish is frozen in time inside of a faceted, hand-cut moonstone gem capsule. Splendidly envisioned and wonderfully handcrafted, this three dimensional sea life has been made by intaglio cutting - a method utilizing reverse cutting from the underside of the stone. Meticulously painted to accuracy, the starfish is floating at the bottom of the sea. The tableau is surrounded by two starfish made from Sevan’s world renowned technique of setting micro mosaic crushed stones, surrounded by shimmering diamonds that delicately outline the shoulders of the ring. The sea has always been particularly important to Sevan, especially with all of its legends and eternal beauty. The starfish in nature is symbolic of regeneration and growth, and has magical healing power. They instinctively protect themselves from harm and live a leisurely life on the bottom of the sea. The oxidized sterling silver ring incorporates white and fancy colored diamonds, and inlaid with polished 24 karat gold. Each piece is signed, dated, and finished inside the gallery.
